Business Process
A business process specifies a execution order of a set of operations. from a collection of Web services, the data shared between these Web services, which partners are involved and how they are involved in the business process, joint exception handling for collections of Web services, and other issues involving how multiple services and organizations participate. BPEL specifies business processes and how they relate to Web services.

A structured description of activities performed to achieve a desired change in the state of information systems and the assets it controls. In computing, this is more related to the former. The activities may include manual processes. They include, at one stage or another, the update of databases and notifications of various forms to various stakeholders.
